* The order dated October 22, I597, entitled, "Of placing the Kings, Heralds,
and Pursuivants of Arms, by Lord Burghley, Lord High Treasurer of England,
and the Lord Howard of Effingham, Lord High Admiral of England, by force of
her Majesty's commission under the great seal of England to us directed in that behalf."
  KINGS OF ARMS.—Garter, Clarenceux, Norroy.
  HERALDS.—Lancaster, Chester, York, Richmond, Windsor, Somerset.
  PURSUIVANTS.—Rouge Croix, Rouge Dragon, Portcullis, Blue Mantle.
